Information Security Policy

The Information Security Policy (ISP) supports the principles and policy found in the B.C. Government Core Policy and Procedures Manual.

The ISP Manual Ver. 1.2 - March 2008 (PDF 1.91MB) provides the framework for government organizations to establish local policies and procedures necessary for the protection of information and technology assets for the Province of British Columbia. The ISP Manual is also available in individual chapters formatted for printing.

The Information Security Branch, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), has written Summaries to offer guidance on how the ISP applies to government personnel, including employees and other individuals such as contractors, volunteers and third-party organizations.
