Open School BC
The Knowledge and Information Services Branch has
collaborated with Open School BC on their
online training programs for the FOIPP Act.
This online training program is designed for
BC public sector employees and is intended to
build awareness around the Freedom of
Information and Protection of Privacy Act
(FOIPP Act).
After taking this training employees will be
able to:
- Recognize how the FOIPP Act applies to
their jobs
- Understand their obligations in
complying with the FOIPP Act
- Know what to do if they receive a
request for information
- Comprehend the Privacy Impact Assessment
(PIA) process
- Know how to protect information
