IM/IT Architecture and Standards


The Office of the Chief Information Officer is leading the development of Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) architecture and standards to enable service transformation and improved business outcomes.

Connected Systems Architecture Package

The Connected Systems Architecture Package includes materials on strategic IM/IT initiatives and infrastructure and features a broad range of concepts including architecture, standards and technical specifications.   The materials are presented in three tabs below:

  • at a high level in the Strategic Initiatives and Infrastructure;
  • at a mid level in the Architecture Summaries; and
  • at the detailed level in the Provincial IM/IT Standards Manual.

The Architecture and Standards Development Lifecycle. The document sets out the processes used by the OCIO for the development and approval of IM/IT architecture and standards. It describes the steps in the IM/IT Architecture and Standards Development Lifecycle and roles and responsibilities. It also sets out the process for requesting and receiving approval for an exemption to an IM/IT standard.
