Inter-Ministry Identity Management Governance and Policy Task Group

The Office of the Chief Information Officer is playing a critical role in an Identity Management Policy and Governance Task Group that is sponsored by the deputy ministers of Health, Labour and Citizens' Services, and Public Safety and Solicitor General.

This group is tasked with making recommendations on:

• the establishment of an overarching policy and governance framework to guide these current and future identity management initiatives, and
• the assignment of authorities and accountabilities for identity management.

The work of this task group will be critical in supporting identity management initiatives and the continued development of identity management services in British Columbia.
