CIO Council
The Chief Information Officer Council (CIO
Council) of the Province of British Columbia
offers strategic advice and recommendations
regarding the management of information and
technology (IM/IT). The council is chaired
by Dave Nikolejsin, Chief
Information Officer (CIO) for the Province
of British Columbia, and its members include
ministry representatives.
Purpose
The purpose of the CIO Council is to support
the Chief Information Officer’s authority
for standards setting, oversight and approvals
for the Province's information and communications
technology, including the implementation of
the direction and evaluation measurements
as described in Chapter 12 of the Core Policy and Procedures Manual. For more information about

Mandate
The CIO Council:
