Contract Administration - Administrator's Office
The Administrator’s Office (AMO) is responsible for managing a contract to provide telecommunications services to government ministries and the broader public sector*. This includes managing the supplier relationship and the agreements that provide operational telecommunications services and leverage additional benefits for British Columbians. The AMO is mandated to ensure benefits are maximized within the scope of the agreements.
The three Agreements which comprise the telecommunications services contract are:
The Telecommunications Services Master Agreement (TSMA) is the framework for delivery of all core telecommunications services provided by TELUS to the Province and its broader public sector partners. Services include long distance, conferencing, cellular, and voice and data network services.
The Strategic Relationship Agreement (SRA) defines the strategic relationship and related rights and obligations between the parties. It includes the principles by which the strategic relationship will be governed, the governance mechanisms and details of a Strategic Investment Fund for transformative projects.
The Connecting British Columbia Agreement (CBCA) defines how TELUS, working with the Province, will increase access to high-speed Internet service in rural and remote areas over the 10-year term of the Agreement and improve access to cellular services along segments of major highways over the next five years.
Note: TELUS is not an exclusive supplier of telecommunications to the Province of British Columbia and broader public sector partners. Government will continue to work with other telecommunications vendors, as required.
(*broader public sector includes: BC Hydro, ICBC, WorkSafe BC, BC Lotteries and the six health authorities).
