Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
The Office of the Chief Information Officer maintains cross-government policy and procedures, standards and guidelines regarding access to public information and protection of privacy.
The Knowledge and Information Services branch provides services, support and leadership to ministries and other public bodies to help comply with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPP Act). The branch co-ordinates systems designed to manage and facilitate FOI requests and privacy responsibilities and manage the revision process for FOIPPA and its schedules.
