The purpose of the Integration Infrastructure
Program (IIP) is to enable secure information
sharing across the broader public sector and its
private sector partners by designing a provincial
Information Access Layer which provides common
services for message routing, security and identity
management. IIP has two primary goals of designing
a provincial information sharing model that is
flexible, robust, implementable and sustainable,
and ensuring that the eHealth infrastructure is
designed to be capable of expanding to support
the provincial model.
